Start With the Load
Pause the machine and redistribute an obviously unbalanced load if the manufacturer's instructions allow it. Make sure the lid or door closes fully.
Check for Standing Water
Some washers will not enter a high-speed spin if water has not drained. If water remains in the tub, start with the drainage issue.
When to Call
If the washer repeatedly fails to spin with balanced loads and normal drainage, diagnosis may be needed.
